To teach that: 1) The earth is the Lord's and everything in it. 2) We have been called to look after it and 3) God wants us to act against the injustice of poverty.
To encourage people to think about how they can save money so that it can go to one of the Mission agencies that provides clean water for countries in the third world that need it.
